I was at dinner with my partner one night and struggling. There was a young father and son sitting next to us. The father was younger than us – and the kid about 8. And this child started talking to us, and just had the brightest smile and the smartest mouth and I haven’t laughed so hard in my life. So I thought I would share a few quotes.
“Why do you guys look younger than my dad?”
“You guys don’t look like you’re ready to have kids I’m expensive”
“I’m eating healthy” (hot dog, fries, soda)
And my personal favorite:
“My mom and dad met at a party and didn’t even know they had me!”
I had a view of the restaurant during this statement. The server bent over walking across the room he was laughing so hard, as did another staff member. My sides split cracking up.
Kid, I wish you all the good things in life. Your dad too. He seems like a good sport.
