Laughs and Lobotomies

Hope is the hook on which I hang my hat after a long day’s work.

It’s the “honey I’m home” and the smell of pot pie coming off the stove.

It’s the things I never wanted before.

Because in all the big dreams I dreamed for myself, I never knew I could dream big enough to have you.

Because life is not about the job you go to when you take that hat off the hook.

It’s about having that hook and that home to come back to.

And that’s the dream i never dreamed to have.

And the one I want, no matter what else.
