I don’t know if anyone finds this comforting but after years of dealing with chronic health issues and also working in insurance –
Way more denials are due to wholly incompetent employees and processes than due to your insurance trying to screw you (not that they aren’t sometimes doing that as well).
Call back. Get the employee’s name. Keep documentation. Ask for a supervisor.
Most people processing claims and working in doctors’ offices had to pass a drug screen and background check and have legal work authorization to make $15-20 an hour.
If food service employees could do all those things they wouldn’t be making $15 an hour. They’d be setting the world on fire. I’ve worked with some kick ass people in food service. It’s a hard job. People are in it because of lack of privilege or just passion.
They’re dumb. What I’m saying is admin employees are dumb.
End rant of the day 🤷♀️.
