We are not stupid and we are not crazy ~ A

Recovery Month

Not every addict knows they’re an addict.

Especially with alcohol.

It’s so normalized culturally that many people literally do not realize their drinking is problematic until they hit rock bottom.

So if you know someone who struggles.

If you see someone hiding bottles.

If you know they drink alone.

Or to sleep.

Or to ease anxiety.

Please ask them, without judgement, to go to an AA meeting with you.

See if it resonates.

Give them a hug.

Tell them it will be ok.

That you’ve got their back.

That you love them.

And that you want to help.

And if someone is out there reading this and you are the one who needs that hug.

Know that I’m sending it.

You’re loved. You’re brave. You’re strong.

And you deserve better.

Fight for you. I believe in you.

❤️❤️❤️
