Went to a coffee shop that had an L shaped fence set up inside. Spent 20 minutes in line behind 3 psych majors discussing attachment theory and using words like “semantics”. Instead of wrapping around the L fence to form a line, they blocked the door and crammed themselves into a corner. When I got to the front, I asked the barista, hey, is that L shaped thing supposed to be for where the line forms? He laughed, said yeah, no one does it.
I’ll bet those students get phds.
And continue to miss the forest for the trees.
