We are not stupid and we are not crazy ~ A

The Cost of a Wharton Education.

A Wharton education started in 2006 cost somewhere in the ballpark of 200k- a bit more with room, board and books included.

What I learned there is had I instead invested that 200k in Apple in 2006 and sold it today I’d have about $14-15 million dollars.

Or I could’ve spent 50k on hookers and blow, and still had around $10-11 million.

That’s to say nothing of the misery, loss of income, descent into the mental health industrial machine and cost of medical care that my time there played its part in.

But it was certainly a number-centric business school. More than most.

Boil down everything to its value in dollars.

They’re still a feeder for Wall Street.

“A cynic is a man who knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing”

~ Oscar Wilde

I’m sure some were served well by their education there.

I was not, and I count it among one of the worst decisions I ever made in my life. And one of my biggest regrets.

18 would’ve been a time to forge my own path. It may have been easier then to break free.
