Angel in one ear, devil in the other.
Neither are we the sum of our alms.
God has no scales.
He does not keep score.
He does not weigh the guilt in our soul.
Nor every good deed.
He made us human.
With all our bumps, scars, and imperfections.
And as you kick the cobblestone, nearing the end of the road, head down, wondering how He will see you.
Just lift up your head, dear boy, He sees you.
You can never wander so far that you cannot find your way back into his arms.
And you were always on His path.
