Laughs and Lobotomies

I think I’d like to disappear like a brief summer rain.

So quick, if you weren’t watching you might not know it happened.

A torrent for a minute and then peace.

The birds take time to wake back up.

The skies yawn and the sun is seen again.

Brighter than before.

The grass is greener.

And the world sings as the rainbow comes.

I’d like to be that rain.

Settle the dust and quench the earth.

And vanish as if I’d never been.
